The title of my artwork is 'the disasters polluted beach'.

Mackenzie and I created a joined beach; her side was of the water in the ocean. It had plastic turtles made out of the end of plastic bottles. The ocean was just painted with blue and green. On my side it was mostly sand with a little bit of water. For the sand I painted it brown and then I cut the bottom of plastic bottles off and painted them green for the back of the turtle. Then I hot glued them on to the sandy bit of the beach. Then I added the foam bits onto the sand.

The artwork is of a beautiful beach gone wrong. It went wrong because people got lazy and started to leave their rubbish there. Not clean up after themselves. Then the animals ate the rubbish and die or get sick.

In my artwork I used balance by creating a half art piece so we have different perspective. I also used texture by getting a scrapper and making white paint puffy. I also added foam so it looked like the ocean had a rough side to it. I used different colours by using dark and light blues making a wave.

I used balance by creating a different perspective on Mackenzie鈥檚 side all of the animals. There are dead animals and heaps of rubbish. When blended colours to make waves, I thought it would kind of create an illusion but it didn鈥檛 turn out like that.

My artwork is a painting cross sculpture kind of thing because I painted the scenery on but I also added foam and turtles to my art piece.

I used paint brushes to paint on the cardboard and a scraper to make the white waves fluffy. I used a hot glue gun to glue green bits onto the turtles to make its legs.

Nobody inspired my artwork, it鈥檚 just when I go to the beach I see all the rubbish and it makes me feel like people don鈥檛 care.

My artwork express pollution and animal extinction from plastic. I鈥檝e shown this by adding a dead whale and rubbish on the beach.

I tried to make people feel like they can do something, I also tried to make them feel guilty.

My artwork did follow my plan in my artist intention because I wrote that I wanted to have water going into sand and rubbish and plastic bottle turtles.

This piece helped me reach these goals because I wanted to create an artwork that represented pollution on a beach and my artwork turned out exactly as I wanted it.

I could keep working on it and make another and don鈥檛 add in any of my mistakes.

I learnt how to blend colours and how to make paint puffy.

This final product is almost how I imagined in my head although I thought the water would look different.

It will make an impact because I learnt how to do so many more things. It also will influence me to start making more paintings / sculptures art of rubbish.
