The recent global pandemic has prevented many people from enjoying the great tourism spots of the Northern Territory.
Students were challenged to research this issue and develop and design in 3D a luxury cabin that could be transported in the NT for a pop-up hotel experience. Cabin designs needed to be inspired by Australian history, culture, landscape, myths and legends, and materials considered for use needed to be sustainable and environmentally friendly. Every stage of the process was captured in a design journal which included mind maps with research, sketches of ideas, and reflections on their final solutions.
