This project required that I design and engineer an assistive device for a client who has Parkinson鈥檚 Disease. The purpose of the device was to make a specific task easier for my client. I chose to focus on the mental challenges patients with Parkinson's face more than the physical ones.
Anxiety and depression are two of the most common mental health issues that affect people with Parkinson's. PD not only impacts the lives of the victims, but also their family members and people around them. My design assists those with Parkinson鈥檚 and helps them calm down/relax as well as hopefully helping to improve their memories.
