Excellent Excursion to City for Year 4 Students
Palmerston Campus Year 4LG students visited Darwin CBD yesterday, for their Unit of Inquiry, ‘How we express ourselves’. This unit looks at persuading people through advertising and writing.
While in the city, students looked at advertising in the mall and then made their way to the Darwin Entertainment Centre. They were shown around the centre, including under and behind the stage!
Jo and Melissa discussed advertising strategies for different events and how to specifically cater for audiences. Jo, (Education and Youth Coordinator) taught students a quick choreographed dance. The day concluded at the Esplanade playground. Thank you to Darwin Entertainment Centre for accommodating our Year 4 students. It looks like they had a great day - and the teachers too.
